TRAVEL

By air:
Glasgow Airport (GLA) is about 8 miles from Glasgow city centre, and there are various options for travelling between the two. The Glasgow Airport Express bus service operates very frequently (every 10 minutes at peak times) and will take you to Hope Street (where the conference venue is!) in about 15 minutes; the fare is £10 for a return ticket. Alternatively, a taxi to the city centre should cost around £22. Official Glasgow Airport Taxis are located directly in front of the main terminal and operate 24 hours a day.

By train:
Glasgow Central Station is less than 100m from thestudio (conference venue), and Queen Street Station is only an 8-minute walk away. Both stations have frequent services to other major UK cities – see National Rail for timetable and fare info.

Glasgow Subway:
Glasgow also has an underground metro line called the Subway, which runs in a circuit between the city centre and the West End of Glasgow. Great for sightseeing around Glasgow but does not go to the airport.
